h+h Americas 2025 Recap and Coming Soon to Quilting Mayhem
Mindy just came back from h+h Americas in Chicago with updates on all the new things she saw and is bringing back to Quilting Mayhem. h+h Americas is the biggest trade show for yarn, fiber arts, and crafting supplies in North America; it’s like Quilt Market but expanded for knitters, crocheters, and makers. There were 541 exhibitors to visit, and here are our highlights:
Sewing and Longarm Quilting Machines
Handi Quilter has a new machine coming soon!
Big news for longarm lovers! Handi Quilter announced a brand-new machine arriving this September/October. While we can’t share all the details yet, if you’ve been thinking about of upgrading to a machine with all the bells and whistles, keep an eye on our social media.we’ll share updates as soon as we can!
The rumors are true, Janome has a Combo Machine.
Ever seen that viral video of the sewing machine and serger in one? It’s real! Janome’s prototype is a real space saver, perfect for small homes, apartments, or anyone who wants two machines in one. It’s still in development (no free-arm serging yet, and the throat space is small), but the price is budget-friendly, and the concept is fantastic.
Why are we talking about Janome, you ask? We’re debating whether or not to become a Janome dealer! What do you think? Would you buy this combo machine?

Craig Conover’s New Fabric Line
Yes, that Craig from Bravo! The pillow-making reality star is now designing quilting fabric with Robert Kaufman. His collection brings fresh energy to quilting, and I’m all for new designers shaking things up.
Jason Yenter’s Steampunk Menagerie
Jason (of In the Beginning Fabrics) unveiled Steampunk Menagerie, and we had to order it right away. Think gears, whimsical creatures, and rich colors—perfect for edgy, modern quilts.
Shannon Fabrics’ Quilting Cuddle
If you love making projects with Shannon Fabrics’ Cuddle, you’ll love their new low-pile, low-stretch Cuddle. You can now quilt with it not just make stuffed animals.
Warm & Natural Batting is coming back!
By popular demand, we’re restocking Warm & Natural batting. It’s a local (Washington-based) brand, and I’m happy to support them alongside Quilter’s Dream.
Bag-Making: Straps, Leather & New Patterns
We’re adding pre-made straps (no more wrestling with fabric tubes), plus new leather and vinyl options for handles and accents. We fell in love with patterns like the Ruby Bag a chic vinyl-and-fabric combo and the True Bag with clear pouches perfect for travel or retreats. We’ll also have By Annie’s latest backpack and tote patterns as always.
Punch needle, ribbons, and more.
Punch needle is everywhere right now, even at Kimberbell! And we haven’t forgotten Fiber Riot, we’re bringing in new designs including a cute fox to crochet and Addi Mystic needles to knit with. And by popular demand, we now carry satin and grosgrain ribbon for the times when you need to add a little extra oomph to your project.
