Giving Tree

Did you notice the beautiful Giving Tree in our lobby? We did a gift drive for Toys for Tots benefitting the children in need across Snohomish County!

If you’re not familiar with Toys for Tots, it’s an organization run by the U.S. Marine Corps  Reserves. For the last three months of the year, communities around the country set up a toy drive for children in their community so that all children can experience the joy of Christmas and the holiday season. In 2021, our local Toys for Tots chapter supported over 68,000 children and  distributed a whopping 155,528 toys. And we were happy to help spread some holiday cheer for 2022.

Starting after Thanksgiving, we set up our Giving Tree and decorated the tree with gift tags. Each tag had an item written on the back that a child or family requested that they would like to receive for the holiday season, so everyone was sure to get something they loved. Our Mayhem Makers picked a tag, bought the gift written on the back, and brought the unwrapped gift to Quilting Mayhem to put under the tree. And bring presents they did!

We were so pleased with the generosity everyone showed with their donations. DeeAnn took everything over to Toys for Tots to make sure the gifts could get into the right hands in time for the holidays. Thank you, Mayhem Makers, for helping out Toys for Tots and the children and families in our community.
